Who’s The New Guy?
Every so often at work there’s “the new guy.” Someone is hired, given a desk, and is then thrown into their new habitat to fend for themselves.
Then the chatter begins.
“Is someone leaving?” “Where’s he from?” “Is he related to (insert common last name here)?” “Are there any donuts left?” And the all-encompassing, “Who’s the new guy?”
One week (in a better economy) after a glut of hiring, I’d heard “Who’s the new guy?” so often that I decided to take it to the extreme and have an actual brand new human being report to work in the cartoon above.
